Wedding Vendor's Number One Resource!

Barbara Kaiser of Just Wedd LLC officiated and wed Bobby McCaig and Josh Curnutt, a gay, homeless couple on May 12, 2015 at the Soldiers and Sailors’ Monument in downtown Indianapolis. Barbara volunteered her services as did Coleman David Norris of 7Souls Photo who sent in photos of their wedding day.

Bobby moved from Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Indianapolis in 2001 because his family did not accept the fact that he is a gay man. When he lost his drivers license, he also lost his job, his income and his home.

Bobby met Josh at the Wheeler Mission, a homeless shelter where the couple sleep during the winter months. The Wheeler Mission is located just a few blocks from Starbucks on “The Circle” which is where they spend their days.

Bobby and Josh also spend time at the library each day and they have a place that allows them to shower each day. They both look for work regularly.

Bobby and Josh both plan to find temporary work in the area over the summer so that they have some income. Once their day is done, they sleep under an expressway viaduct where they make beds for the night.

When asked what being married means to him, Bobby replied, “Getting married means solemnizing my love with Josh and showing him that I want to spend the rest of my life with him.” Josh reiterated Bobby’s words when asked the same question. Although she does not agree with Bobby’s lifestyle, his mother did purchase beautiful titanium rings for the couple.

Bobby and Josh had a beautiful spring day for their wedding in front of the waterfall at the monument.

Congratulations guys!
