The Raleigh Allies group at the LGBT Center of Raleigh has a main mission to educate folks on LGBTQ issues that are currently happening. They first organized to specifically educate straight allies. After 2 years of having meetings they have drawn in people in the LGBTQ community as well.  Here is a little bit about the group

The Center hosts quarterly meetings at the LGBT Center of Raleigh. Their next meeting is Friday, September 16th at 7pm. Their next meeting is extremely important to what is going on with HB2. It is a Trans101 class taught by the Trans Initiative program manager Devin Lentz.
