  1. If you are between the ages of 18 and 21, you need a driver’s license or a birth certificate. Though, it is advisable to bring a photo ID even if you are over 21.
  2. Only one of you needs to be present.
  3. You do not need to be a resident of Maryland. But you must get married in the county where you purchase your marriage license.
  4. The fee is between $35 and $60 depending on the county where you obtain your marriage license.
  5. There is a waiting period of 48 hours.
