Obtaining a Marriage License in St. Paul

If you want a marriage license in St. Paul, you will have to take a trip to the Ramsey County Clerk’s office. Both parties need to be present, over the age of 18, and have proof of identity and age. This could include a photo ID, driver’s license, or passport. The marriage license will be valid for 60 days. The price is $115, but this can be reduced to $40 if you have completed 12 hours of premarital counseling. In order to receive the discounted fee, you must provide a certificate that proves your completion of the premarital counseling.
