Pridezillas attended the March on Springfield on Tuesday, October 24th to support our LGBT friends and family in their fight to win marriage equality. We are hopeful that Illinois will be the 15th state in our nation to legalize love.
The speakers were powerful, the performers were inspirational and the message was clear: Illinois can’t wait, and the time is now for the freedom to marry.
History was made as this was the largest lobbying effort that the Illinois LGBTQ community have ever staged on Springfield along with its’ families, friends and allies. There were about 3,000 people marching on Tuesday. Even the rain wasn’t an obstacle.
Illinois lawmakers will be back in Springfield for the final days of veto session on November 5th.
