Wedding Vendor's Number One Resource!

TWO BLUSHING BRIDES

This light filled romantic styled shoot took place on the banks of the Brisbane river with real couple Fiona and Megan playing brides for the day. Created to showcase the contrast of simple pure white daytime styling and warm blush tones for the evening, in celebration of marriage equality in Australia.

Despite being new to being professionally captured, real couple Fiona and Megan shared the most beautiful love filled connection, with plenty of giggles.

The girls looked absolutely stunning with professional hair stylist Kaila from Laa Hair Boutique, creating elegant up styles, and make-up artist Helena Donaldson providing a natural soft romantic look.

The shoot began with Celebrant Jamie Eastgate of Brisbane City Celebrants guiding the couple through a ceremony, amidst the all-white ceremony set up created by Brisbane Wedding Decorators, with a simple white arbour draped with lengths of fresh orchids and ivory rose heads, perfectly framing the loved-up ladies.

Low boxed white fresh floral arrangements lined the rose petal aisle and the custom laser etched wooden sign by Rustic at Heart created the perfect welcome, and set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable day.

Simple matching greenery bouquets were created by Flora Organika with a combination of natives and textured botanicals, which looked and smelt divine.

The brides looked spectacular in their beautiful Goddess by Nature Chloe and Celeste gowns, with intricate detailing and playful low backs. The elegant custom-made jewellery by Redki completed the look perfectly.

Brightly coloured confetti cannons were let off as the gorgeous brides made their way back down the aisle together.

Gorgeous Brisbane waterfront venue Medley Café & Restaurant was the perfect spot for the styled reception luncheon, with gorgeous stationary and place names designed by the talented creatives at Rustic at Heart and we adore the Mrs and Mrs Chair signs on the clear ghost chairs!

The shoot progressed with luxurious blush theming with our beautiful brides Fiona and Megan wearing Goddess by Natures Savannah and Lydia gownswith blush fabric and plunging necklines for a modern playful and elegantly sexy look.

It’s clear to see these smitten kittens had so much fun being photographed as their amazing connection and love for each other really shines through.

The brides wore vibrant flower crowns created by Flora Organika which were a great alternative to bouquets and matched the 2 beautiful and fragrant floral arrangements positioned diagonally opposite each other on the wooden circular arbour, with loose soft blush draping styled by Brisbane Wedding Decorators, framing the brides in this dreamy setting.

Clear ghost chairs for guests create a vibe of understated elegance, naturally drawing the eye towards the happy couple and their ceremony setting.

We love the contrast of the soft blush dreamy setting against Brisbane’s soaring Story Bridge in the backdrop at Brisbane’s riverside Captain Burke Park. A truly iconic Brisbane backdrop.

As the sun set and the lights of Brisbane city began to glow, the riverside shoot continued with the loved up duo being captured sharing special moments together.

Medley Café & Restaurant, an equality friendly wedding venue perched overlooking the Brisbane river was the perfect location for the evening reception setting, with festoon lighting and copper cutlery and charger plates. The creatives at Flora Organika styled the reception table with more vibrant florals and Rustic at Hearts stylish stationary completed the look to perfection.

The custom made wooden Mrs and Mrs Chair signs by Brisbane Wedding Decorators were decorated with peach carnations, the perfect touch to celebrate the newlyweds new titles as Mrs & Mrs.

We are thrilled to announce these lovely girls got engaged shortly after the shoot took place and we wish them every happiness for a marriage as beautiful as their wedding will no doubt be.

Thank you to all these amazing equality friendly wedding vendors for creating and sharing this exciting collaboration.
